Prepare your Heart

If there is a longing in your heart

This world cannot satisfy

If there is a hunger in your bones

That you cannot classify

There is Consolation and redemption

Restoration, liberation

Forgiveness and freedom The past healed,

Pardon and power and your future sealed

So prepare your heart my friend

Put off the empty praise of men

To satisfy your soul

You need to be made whole

Redemption of your future

Consolation of your past

Beyond what the world can give

Beyond the praise that never lasts.

Prepare your heart and pray to God

For the Truth that was concealed.

That God would open up your eyes

And that this treasure be revealed

Prepare your heart so you may see

The Power of Christ unveiled

To reckon His reality

And see His will in you prevail.
