The Great Exchange

His righteousness replaces my all my Sin
He exchanged His Glory for my guilt
His joy has displaced my mourning with rejoicing
What my turmoil has destroyed he has rebuilt

Goodness and mercy are becoming my new trait
His kindness overcomes my enmity
A heart of Love is beating now where there once was hate
And His Patience has replaced anxiety.

And by his wounds our wounds are healed
By his wounds our wounds are healed
He became my substitute, God’s perfect spotless lamb
His sacrifice has taken all our sins
The obedient sin-bearer bears the sin of ev’ry man
When he laid down his life true life begins

He was forsaken I was forgiven
Faithfulness is now exchanged for infidelity
Self-control resides now where my chaos reigned before
And God’s riches have repealed my poverty

And though Death was due me I was given life anew
Christ atoned for sins when His blood was spilt
A reconciliation realized by what he was born to do
And His sacrifice has overcome my guilt.

And by his wounds our wounds are healed
In this great exchange true mystery is revealed
He became my substitute, God’s perfect spotless lamb
His sacrifice atones for all our sins
The obedient sin-bearer bears the sin of ev’ry man
When he laid down his life true life begins.

Lord Adonai

The majesties of Adonai
The name above all names
Beyond all beauties he reigns
From age to age the same
The glories of our Adonai
Lift us to heights above
He shelters us with holy wings
and showers us with love

The wondrous name above all other names we praise
We bow or knees and with or hearts and tongues proclaim
The excellence and marvels of the Ancient of Days
The Alpha and Omega, Adonai is His name.

He is the King and Kurios
The Warrior who rules
We stand within His unseen light
Though the world may call us fools
Standing on a Rock we cannot see
But with faith’s eyes we behold
The radiance and the power
Of the Anchor of our souls

Lord Adonai we lift your name
Lord Adonai the earth trembles at the sound of your word
The rocks and hills cry out if we were silent
But we shall not be silent
We shall not be silent
They shall have to overpower our praises to be heard.

The Name

In Jesus we behold
The Father's glorious face,
Our Savior who shall keep His own
With mild and lovely grace
The eternal God's eternal Son
Inherits and partakes the throne.

The sovereign King of kings,
The Lord of lords most high,
Writes his own name upon
His garment and his thigh:
His name is called The Word of God;
He rules the earth with His iron rod.

Behold the holy Lamb of God
Who stricken down now stands
He seals or opens every seal
With His own nail-scarred hands
And now the lion of Judah
Roars with a Holy Rage
At sin and degradation
And fully pays Sin’s wage.

But when for works of righteous peace
The great Redeemer comes,
What lovingkindness is released
The Great I AM becomes
Light of the world, and Life of men;
He shall not bear those names in vain.

Immense compassion reigns
In our Immanuel's heart,
He pleads our case and takes our pain
A Mediator's part:
He is a Friend and Brother too;
Divinely kind, divinely true.

At length the Lord the Righteous Judge
His awful throne ascends,
The Christ shall drive the rebels far
From favorites and friends:
Then shall the saints completely prove
The heights and depths of all his love.

God the Father raised him up
to highest honor and greatest fame
and gave to him the name
above all other names,
that at the name of Jesus
every knee should bow,
and every tongue confess
that Christ is Lord here and now

To the glory of God the Father.
To the Glory of God the Son
To the glory of God the Spirit
These are the Three in One.

Joy Comes

Come, we that love the Lord,
And let our joys be known;
Join in a song with sweet accord,
And thus surround the throne.

The worries of the mind
Will never satisfy
Salvation never was designed
God’s pleasure to deny

Let those refuse to sing
That never knew our God;
But favorites of the heav'nly King
May speak their joys abroad.

The God that rules on high,
And thunders when he please,
That rides upon the stormy sky,
And manages the seas;

This awesome God is ours,
Our Father and our Love;
He shall send down his heav'nly powers
To carry us above.

There we shall see his face,
And never, never sin;
There, from the rivers of his grace,
Drink endless pleasures in.

Yes, and before we are changed
To that immortal state,
The future bliss that God arranged
Should constant joys create.

The men of grace have found
God’s Glory here below;
His presence is our holy ground
If faith and hope we know

Then let our songs be raised
And set our minds on high
We're blessed here, to Immanuel's praise
Till to fairer worlds we fly.

Face to Face

Face to face with Christ my Savior,
Face to face—mine eyes shall see
When with rapture I behold Him,
Jesus Christ who died for me.

Face to face I shall behold Him,
With greater vision I will see
Face to face in all His glory,
To gaze on his grace eternally.

If I seek Him I will know Him
Even on this earthly plain
For the Spirit clearly shows Him
And the glory of His name

Seek His face with open eyes now
In His presence we’re undone
Face to face in His shekina
Face to face with God’s own Son.

Only faintly now I see Him
With the darkened veil between,
But a blessed day is coming
When His glory shall be seen.

What rejoicing in His presence,
When are banished grief and pain;
When the crooked ways are straightened
And the dark things shall be plain.

Face to face--oh, blissful moment!
Face to face--to see and know;
Face to face with my Redeemer,
Jesus Christ who loves me so.

No Eye Has Seen

We come to worship at Immanuel's feet,
To seek his face and wonders meet!
Earth is too narrow to express
His glory, worth, or blessedness.
The whole creation can afford
But some faint shadows of my Lord;
Nature, to make his beauties known,
Must mingle colors not her own.

For no eye has seen, nor ear heard,
All the gifts God has prepared
Nor imagined in the heart of man
Gods grace to those who love him

O let me climb those higher skies,
Where storms and darkness never rise!
There he displays his power abroad,
And shines and reigns th' incarnate God.]
Nor earth, nor seas, nor sun, nor stars,
Nor heav'n, his full resemblance bears;
His beauties we can never trace,
Till we behold him face to face.

Bridge:
Our hearts will fully be revealed
As we cling to him in whom we’re sealed
In his presence at his throne
When we shall know as we are known
Our devastated hearts are healed.
The saints below and saints above
Joined by his Spirit and his love.
Worship empowered by his grace
Eye to eye and face to face.

For no eye has seen, nor ear heard,
All the gifts God has prepared
Nor imagined in the heart of man
Gods grace to those who love him

Jesus Is

Jesus is our wine and bread
Lord, our souls would thus be fed
Your broken body and blood divine
Is bread of life, is heav'nly wine.

From the tree of life the world receives
Salvation from his healing leaves;
That righteous branch, it’s wondrous fruit
Both spring and grow from David's root.

The precious Rose of Sharon yields
Such fragrancy in all her fields:
As the lily of the valley blooms
All men shall bless the rich perfume.

Jesus is the living vine
Supplier of the cup of wine
He drank the dregs of heaven’s wrath
Opened the gates to heaven’s path.

Jesus is the cornerstone
The only sure foundation known
The solid rock on which we stand
All other ground is shifting sand.

The fountain that forever brims
To heal the plague of death and sin
These waters will renew my soul
And cleanse my heart and make me whole

Christ is the true refiner’s fire
That purifies all our desire
He'll purge my dross he’ll purge
nd remove every sinful urge

He is the door, the only way
To enter in and thus to stay
The gate of heaven opened wide
For all who want to come inside

He is the temple God has raised
Indwelling majesty we praise
And still to this most holy place,
Whene'er I pray, I turn my face.
He is the star that breaks the night
Piercing the shadows with His light;
I know his glories from afar,
I know the bright, the morning star.

He is the sun of righteousness
His course is joy, His beams are grace,
Nations rejoice when he appears
His wondrous wings shall heal their tears.

Good News

If the heart of your heart was true
If you were faithful in all you do
If you do your good deeds
You would still be in need
Theres a Savior who’s meant for you.

For no matter the good report
Our souls will still come up short
We’re not holy at all
We still stumble and fall
Found guilty in heaven’s court

For all fall short and sin
God’s glory requires all men
To be perfect and just
So we’re all left to trust
In another the prize to win

We all need holiness
We all need to confess
We’re not perfect in any way
But there’s hope in the Son
He is the only one
Who can rescue and save the day

This is the good news
and it came here for you
There is hope and a way in Christ
All you do is believe
Then you need to receive
For salvation has paid the price

Come to him and be saved today
This is the time all your sin to lay
On the bearer of sin
So you then can begin
To walk the true and living way.

Faith

Faith is a test and faith is a trust
Faith is a gift so receive it we must
As much as we sow so we also shall reap
God gives us faith and that faith we must keep.

For faith comes by hearing the living Word
Faith comes by heeding just what we have heard
By trusting in promises kept in the past
And a future that holds that the promise will last

Bridge:
The assurance of things hoped for,
The conviction of things not seen.
An eternal weight of glory
Shows us what faith truly means.

Faith is a test and faith is a trust
Faith is a gift so unwrap it we must
Faith is only as good as where it is placed
So have faith in Jesus, the God of all grace.

Faith is not passive and so we must act
Believing the source of our faith as a fact
God will direct your path from the start
When you trust in the Lord with all of your heart

Here at the Cross (Beneath the Blood)

Here at thy cross, its crimson wood
Beneath thy love I lay my soul,
And covered by thy precious blood,
This broken vessel is made whole.
You speak, my Lord, and calm my fear;
For I am safe beneath thy shade
Thy vengeance will not strike me here,
Nor Satan dares my heart invade.

Here at the cross, beneath the blood
That purchased my pardon that day
Here where I’m washed in the soul-healing flood;
My sins, which were many, are all washed away,

Lord, with this guilty heart of mine
To thy dear cross I flee and fall
And to thy grace my soul resign,
To be renewed at your call.
Sprinkled afresh with pard'ning blood,
Clean before my Lord I stand
Here in th' embraces of my God,
Held fast in my Savior’s hand.

Here at the cross, beneath the blood
That purchased my pardon that day
Here where I’m washed in the soul-healing flood;
My sins, which were many, are all washed away,

All glory to the dying Lamb,
Proclaim his never-ceasing praise,
While angels live to know his name,
And saints to feel his saving grace.
Proclaim the wonders of the cross
Let every distant nation hear;
And while you sound his lofty praise,
Let humble mortals bow and fear.

Here at the cross, beneath the blood
That purchased my pardon that day
Here where I’m washed in the soul-healing flood;
My sins, which were many, are all washed away,

Morning Song

My soul, my soul waits for the Lord
More than watchmen wait for the dawn
Lord, open my eyes that I may behold
Your radiance till the darkness is gone

Morning by morning you awaken;
You awaken my ear to hear
Like a lamp shining forth in the darkness,
Until the dawning day draws near

The morning star rises in your hearts,
Though tears may tarry for the night,
When the morning star rises in your hearts,
Then joy comes with the morning light.

The steadfast love of the Lord never ends
His mercies shall never cease
His mercies are new every morning;
Great is His faithfulness.

And I will sing of your strength as I rise
For you have been to me a fortress
In the morning I’ll sing of your steadfast love
My refuge in my day of distress.

The morning star rises in your hearts,
Though tears may remain for the night,
When the morning star rises in your hearts,
Then joy comes with the morning light.

Meet us in the morning with your steadfast love
In your glorious light we’ll abide
That we may rejoice and be glad all our days.
And our souls will be satisfied

Work Out

No matter what the circumstance
I know that life’s not left to chance
My Lord is Lord of everything
The Lord of All is Sovereign King.

One foot in front of the other
A multitude of sins His love will cover
Sometimes two forward, and one step back
But the Lord will provide for everything I lack

So why should I worry and why should I fret
If all things work for good, they will work out yet.
If I were a better then you know I’d bet
If all things work for good, they will work out yet.
If all things work for good, they will work out yet.

So when I sleep and when I rise
I will look upward and cast my eyes
To trust in the One who is supremely wise
And walk in the light where my future lies.

If I am confessing and I hate my sin
There’s surely a blessing that will draw me in
And though I may waiver and at times may doubt
A heart of repentance God will not cast out.

So why should I worry and why should I fret
If all things work for good, they will work out yet.
If I were a better then you know I’d bet
If all things work for good, they will work out yet.
If all things work for good, they will work out yet.

In Christ We Make Our Boast

Christ and his cross is all our boast
The myst'ries that we speak
Are scandal to the worldy wise
But give strength to the weak

But souls enlightened from above
With joy receive the word;
They see what wisdom, power, and love
Shine in their dying Lord.

The vital savor of his name
Restores their fainting breath;
But unbelief perverts the same
To guilt, despair, and death.

Till God diffuse his graces down,
Like showers of heav'nly rain,
In vain the sower sows the ground,
And preachers plant in vain.

But in the power of the cross
The Spirit works with might
So renewed minds and redeemed souls
Now walk within the light.

So in the cross we make our boast
And embrace the scandalon
We weak ones shall mount up with wings
Till our work on earth is done.
