Throne of Grace (Hebrews 4:16)

Every one of us needs help.
We are not God- we all have needs.
We have weaknesses and confusion.
Our limits grow, our strength recedes
We have sins and need forgiveness
And in our hearts we know
that we don`t deserve the help we need-
And so we feel trapped, nowhere to go.

I need help to live my life,
I need help to handle death,
Help to cope with eternity
When I take my first and final breath
Let us then with confidence
draw near to the throne of grace,
that we may receive mercy
and find help in these times of need we face.

Jesus Christ became a High Priest
to shatter our hopeless despair
And to humble every man
To the drowning wretch our God declares
Because we have a Great High Priest,
The throne of God is a throne of grace.
So draw near through Him and be released
From guilt for He will plead our case.

I need help to live my life,
I need help to handle death,
I need help to cope with eternity
When I take my first and final breath
Let us then with confidence
draw near to the throne of grace,
that we may receive mercy
and find help in the time of need we face.

Because we have a Great High Priest,
An advocate who`ll intercede
The help we get is mercy
And grace to help in time of need.
And grace to help in time of need.
And grace to help in time of need.

The Word of God Will Rescue Me

The Word of God is our hope and stay- The good news of God’s love
And the warnings of His judgment day are sharp, living and active enough
To interpose their power within, to penetrate down to my soul
And show me that the lies of sin are really lures that seek control.

The Word of God will rescue me
And make the devil turn and flee
The Word of God will rescue me
And give me eyes that I might see.

The Word of God’s promise is like op`ning a great window bright
Casting out the darkest night with overwhelming morning light
With the deceits revealed I see Through sin`s deceptive masquerade
It drives the truth straight through to me, The heart`s deep chasms to invade

The Word of God will rescue me
And make the devil turn and flee
The Word of God will rescue me
And give me eyes that I might see.

His promises, His Word protects us from the accuser`s potent lies
God gives his good news to unmask deceptive sins in their disguise
To harden your heart they will try from God to lure you far away
And lead to where destruction lies, but the more sure Word will save the day

The Word of God will rescue me
And make the devil turn and flee
The Word of God will rescue me
And give me eyes that I might see.

So in your battle to believe,  Be of good courage and good cheer
The worthy Word of Life receive Because the Word of God is clear
Its living, active, sharper blade- more than a two-edged sword,
Will penetrate sins dark charade -The piercing power of the Word

The word of God will rescue me
With words precious and trustworthy
They give me eyes that I might see.
And reckon their reality.
The Word of God will rescue me
And make the devil turn and flee
The Word of God will rescue me
And give me eyes that I might see.

For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12)

The Broken Bread of Heaven

You despised the shame,
and looked unto the glory set before you
You took our blame
and took us to Your side, so we adore you
And now you are lifted high
All for the Father’s praise
Conqueror overcomer
Forever to glory raised

Because you condescended
You are with glory crowned
Our treasure and our greatest good
Both  in You to be found

Bread of heaven  that we bless
Let us taste your brokenness
You come to us from heaven
To be bread without leaven
You come to us from heaven
And draw us to your side
Come to us from heaven
And in our hearts abide

The sinfulness of many hidden in the One
The Sin bearer who was an obedient Son
Was made to be sin for us
Forsaken so we could trust
That  work you came to do was done
So will the work in us that you`ve begun

Because you condescended
You are with glory crowned
Our treasure and our greatest good
Both  in You to be found

Bread of heaven  that we bless
Let us taste your brokenness
You come to us from heaven
To be bread without leaven
You come to us from heaven
And draw us to your side
Come to us from heaven
And in our hearts abide.

All Glorious

We stand in wonder at your beauty
We lift our hearts before your throne
We serve from passion , not of duty
We worship You and You alone

You are the all -glorious
Over all victorious
Every knee shall bow and tongue confess
You are all- glorious
Found meritorious
Worthy is the Name we profess.

We prostrate our souls and our minds and our hearts
As we fall in awe on our face
We are undone by the name that imparts
Salvation, redemption by grace

You are the all -glorious
Over all victorious
Every knee shall bow and tongue confess
You are all- glorious
Found meritorious
Worthy is the Name we profess.

Glory be to God the Father
Glory be to God the Son
Glory be to God the Spirit
We worship the all- glorious One

You are the all -glorious
Over all victorious
Every knee shall bow and tongue confess
You are all- glorious
Found meritorious
Worthy is the Name we profess.

Wounded for the Broken

Inescapable darkness
Had fallen on all men
But steadfast love and faithfulness
Falls harder on our sin
So you came to put on flesh
Came down to bloody earth
Condescending in the crèche
To cleanse it by your birth

Dawn will break upon us
The Son of Righteousness shall rise
because of the tender mercy of our God,
The light shall illuminate our eyes
To shine on those living in darkness
From chains of captivity release
Those who sit in the shadow of death,
Guide our feet into the path of peace.

Wounded for the broken So we could be lifted up
You were lifted up before us And so we lift this cup
Priceless blood of Jesus Your holy cup of grace
Was poured down on the altar Our suffering you embraced

Bridge
Eternal word that became flesh
Condescending in the crèche
Glory limited by choice
Wrath bearer with an infant’s voice
Our righteousness has been fulfilled
While sin’s wages devastated men
He became a ransom
And his righteousness covered our sins.

Wounded for the broken So we could be lifted up
You were lifted up before us And so we lift this cup
Priceless blood of Jesus Your holy cup of grace
Was poured down on the altar Our suffering you embraced

Road Trip (I Have Miles Yet to Travel)

I have miles yet to travel- I have not yet arrived
The journey of the Spirit I have by grace survived
When I encounter holiness I see the need to grow
The place where I am transformed Is on Gods glory road

Ive  walked with many saints there On paths where I was led
I know the Lord was leading Though times I walked in dread
But other times were glorious Though fateful ways I’ve trod
They led me ever onward Into the arms of God

Chorus
The road we walk before us Was by the Father planned
To build in us a true trust He leads us by the hand
Tho the journey take us O'er mountains rough and steep
He will not forsake us Our faith in Him He'll keep

Bridge:
Sufficient grace will be my guide As I walk the way of change
The miles meant to kill our pride Till holiness remains

I have yet miles to travel until I look like Christ
Some weavings to unravel Some sins to sacrifice
But Gods grace is sufficient To see me safely home
His promises will not relent Tho rugged ruts I roam.

At times my mind may murmur But I will not forget
My footsteps become firmer And on a Rock are set
Ive many miles to traverse So many tests and trials
Gods promises Ill rehearse T'will see me through the miles

Chorus
The road we walk before us Was by the Father planned
To build in us a true trust He leads us by the hand
Tho the journey take us O'er mountains rough and steep
He will not forsake us Our faith in Him He'll keep

I Put my Trust in You

When I am dismayed
When in need of aid
When I am afraid
I put my trust in You

Anxiety runs high
Troubles ever nigh
To your arms I fly
I put my trust in You

You are a balm
My heart you will calm
When I will draw near
Then I recall
You’ve been there through it all
Then faith casts out all my fear

When I am forlorn
And my mind is torn
When I need to mourn
I put my trust in you

In pleasure or in pain
Whether loss of gain
This world I will fain
I put my trust in you

I turn to You
Who are faithful and true
When doubt and fear assails
Though I am but dust
I place all of my trust
In the One who never fails

When my death draws near
I wont shed a tear
Never doubt or fear
I put my trust in you
I put my trust in you
I put my trust in you

Majestic Lord

We sing in one harmonious chord
With strength akin to a three stranded cord
Let the anthem ring
A praise offering
Sing a song to our Majestic Lord

We worship together in one sure accord
For Jesus is worthy to be adored
For all of our days
We will lift up our praise
Singing songs to our Majestic Lord

We worship His Majesty, with a holy fear
We worship His Majesty yet we draw near
We fall on our face as we enter the place
To worship the Holy One that we revere

The grace of God has been outpoured
This holy truth cant be ignored
For all who believe
This grace is received
A gift from our Majestic Lord

Though Satans hosts against us have roared
We have the unstoppable sword
His forces have heard
The soul piercing Word
And flee from our Majestic Lord!

We worship His Majesty, with a holy fear
We worship His Majesty yet we draw near
We fall on our face as we enter the place
To worship the Holy One that we revere

The days the locusts ate have been restored
You have become our most blessed reward
Our hearts we will lift
To receive the gift
The presence of our Majestic Lord

To unimaginable places our spirits have soared
We ponder the wonders yet to be explored
We delve into the deep
And blessings we reap
Provided by our Majestic Lord

We worship His Majesty, with a holy fear
We worship His Majesty yet we draw near
We fall on our face as we enter the place
To worship the Holy One that we revere

Our Majestic Lord
Our Majestic Lord
Our Majestic Lord!

Housebuilder

A foolish man  built his house on the sand.
And the rain fell, and floods came with the sudden squall
The winds blew and beat against that house,
Till it fell apart- and great was its fall   (Matthew 7:24-27)

A wise man built his house on the rock.
The rain and the floods came against its walls,
And the winds blew and beat upon that house,
but because it had been founded on the rock it did not fall!

We’ve a firm foundation in our cornerstone (Isaiah 28:16)
We’ve a Rock of refuge from every storm (Psalm 31:2, 71:3, 94:22, Isaiah 17:10)
We’ve a holy housebuilder whose building is sure (Ezekiel 36:36)
We’re the house He’s building and we will endure! (Hebrews 3:6)

Woe to him who builds his house
And without justice or righteousness (Jeremiah 22:13-14)
His upper rooms are desolate
With devastation and distress (Amos 5:11)

Guide us to Your holy habitation, Lord,  (Exodus 15:13)
Where Your glory dwells in the place (Psalm 26:8)
A house of prayer for all the peoples, (Isaiah 56:7)
Its  foundation built on grace! (1 Corinthians 3:10)

We’ve a firm foundation in our cornerstone
We’ve a Rock of refuge from every storm
We’ve a holy housebuilder whose building is sure
We’re the house He’s building and we will endure!

Bridge
Unless the LORD builds the house,
They who labor  build it in vain; (Psalm 127:1
By sound wisdom a house is built,
established and maintained; (Proverbs 24:3)
Christ is the son over His own house;
We are His house, on this we depend
if we hold fast the confidence and rejoice
in this hope firm unto the end. (Hebrews 3:4-6)

We’ve a firm foundation in our cornerstone
We’ve a Rock of refuge from every storm
We’ve a holy housebuilder whose building is sure
We’re the house He’s building and we will endure!

Morning and Evening

Your mercies are new every morning
The morningstars gather in praise
Once more, my soul, the lights adorning
Once more, my voice, Your tribute pays
Night unto night His names repeat,
The day renews the sound,
Wide as the heav'nly mercy seat
His kindnesses abound...

This mornings lovingkindness
And Your faithfulness by night,
And the bread and meat of righteousness
We feed on and delight!

God is our sun, whose daily light
Our joy and safety brings;
Our feeble flesh lies safe at night
Beneath his shadowing wings.
Thus far the Lord has led me on,
Thus far his power prolongs my days;
And every evening shall make known
Some fresh memorial of his grace.

This mornings lovingkindness
And Your faithfulness by night,
And the bread and meat of righteousness
We feed on and delight!

I lay my body down to sleep,
Peace is the pillow for my head;
While well-appointed angels keep
Their watchful stations round my bed.
Dear God, let all my hours be thine,
Whilst I enjoy the light,
Then shall my sun in smiles decline,
And bring a pleasing night.

This mornings lovingkindness
And Your faithfulness by night,
And the bread and meat of righteousness
We feed on and delight!
