Run to the Cross

My eyes are wide open, I see the world’s plight

The diversity of evil is a terrible sight

The burden is heavy it touches our soul

They need to know Jesus for them to be whole

But then I look unto my soul and see what My Lord sees

I am one unholy mess all racked with son’s disease

My mind set on delusion, seeking comfort and ease

Will I do my Lord’s will or do what I please?

When I am confronted by my sin

I run to the cross

When I don’t know where to begin

I run to the cross

There at the Cross of Jesus, I can count all things as loss

I will Rise Up From the Ashes and Run to the Cross

Bridge

The girl with the hole in her soul

The madman who is demon oppressed

The derelict who wants to be whole

The child who will never pass the test

There but for the grace of God go I

For if I want to live then I must die

When I am confronted by my sin

I run to the cross

When I don’t know where to begin

I run to the cross

There at the Cross of Jesus, I can count all things as loss

I will Rise Up From the Ashes and Run to the Cross

I will Rise Up From the Ashes and Run to the Cross

I will Rise Up From the Ashes and Run to the Cross
