Fetters of Love

God's grace is so gracious  every debt it can erase
It is costly but sufficient; Grace demanded is not grace
A new creation God has made, No longer bound to wander
Held fast and now forever stayed Upon the Rock of Wonder.

This disconcerting paradox On the one hand justified
On the other yet a sinner Until we are glorified
This is marvel this is mystery This brings glory to Christ's name
He has transformed earthen vessels So God's glory they contain

Sealed unto redemptions's day
For heavenly courts above
I am bound by cords that never fray
Chained by fetters of God's love.

I am now no longer debtor I am free and reconciled
Now reality is reckoned To be true and undefiled
Bound to Jesus as a servant Elevated by His grace
Where the servant becomes kindred Beloved souls in His embrace

So the servant is adopted To the household of the King
And by grace we are becoming Changed to living offerings
So the former things are passed away And a new day has begun
The new man's power is given sway By the risen glorious Son!

Sealed unto redemptions's day
For heavenly courts above
I am bound by cords that never fray
Chained by fetters of God's love.
