You call me to a higher level

You take me to that place

I am empowered by Grace

Lord you met me where I was

Groveling in the dust

Living beneath my privilege

Not knowing how to trust

By  grace you did not abandon me

To wander in that night

Love lifted me and set my feet

Upon a rock and set me right.

The miry clay may drag me down

But you’ll deliver me

You take me to that mountain

Where new horizons I can see

Lord give me this mountain

Destroy the works of the devil

Move on up move on up

Take me to that higher level

To stand before the throne of grace

That’s where I want to stay.
