You Called My Name

I was a dead man chained in my sin

Thought I was good but that could not begin

To set me free

For  a dead man cannot decide

To awaken and become alive

That is a fantasy

As a prisoner of death I was bound

I was so lost,  a way could not be found

And oh the darkness was deep

My soul did not even know it should weep

For dead in my iniquities

A slave with no hope to be free

There in my grave

No way to conjure saving faith

It could only attain by God’s Grace

But my God, He is mighty to save

He called my name-He called my name

Raise me to life and I will never be the same

He called my name-He called my name

By his resurrection life He overcame

I am born again  for the sake of His name

The Lord Almighty drew me

Created a clean heart

Appointed me to believe

Chose me and set me apart

He worked faith within me

And tore down the tomb’s wall

Granted me repentance

When I heard His call

He called my name-He called my name

Raise me to life and I will never be the same

He called my name-He called my name

By his resurrection life He overcame

I am born again  for the sake of His name
