The Lord is My Keeper

Christ  promised to never leave us

He has promised to never forsake.

If we draw near Him He will draw near us

He can keep us from falling for His name’s sake

We are living and moving and being

In Him and In Him alone

We`ve received His indwelling presence

And now we are not our own.

The Lord is my Keeper, The Lord is my Shade

The Sun shall not smite me by day

The Moon shall not smite me by night

If I abide and will fight the good fight

We abide in Christ and apart from Him

There is nothing we can do or be

And no one can take us from His hand

For He will forever abide in me

Bridge-
So convict me and kill me

Humble and guard me I`ve prayed

Change me, conform me till I will be

Into your image remade!

Make your Now all the richer and deeper

At the fountain of Forever to drink

For youll surely be kept by your Keeper

It is so near. And its later than you think!

Conformed to the likeness of Christ

Presented at His throne as faultless!

Becoming a living sacrifice

Transformed into His righteousness

The Lord is my Keeper, The Lord is my Shade

The Sun shall not smite me by day

The Moon shall not smite me by night

If I abide and will fight the good fight
