The Joy of the Lord is My Stronghold

May your Glory be my gladness

As You work my joy from sadness

This is part of your design

It will be an everlasting sign.

So may my joy be found in You

And shine forth in all I do

So for the Lord to make a name

His reputation  is my aim.

For the joy of the Lord is my stronghold

From His presence I will draw my strength 

I rejoice as His mighty works I behold

Till every soul shall Know His name at length

You are the fortress where I rest

The refuge where I am blessed

The power and glory I shall sing

As I abide beneath your wing

Turn our mourning into a dance 

As we see you in each circumstance

Then it will be understood

You work all things for our good

For the joy of the Lord is my stronghold
