I Trust in my Redeemer's Name

It was in the watches of the night I thought upon your power,
I kept your lovely face in sight Amidst the darkest hour.
My flesh lay resting on my bed, My soul arose on high:
"Beloved One- my life, my hope-Bring your salvation nigh."

I trust in My Redeemer's name
I trust in my Redeemer's name
He paid my pardon's ransom
He took my guilt and shame
I trust in my Redeemer's name

My spirit longs for heaven's hills, And climbs the heavenly road;
But your right hand upholds me still, You take and bear my load
Your mercy stretches o'er my head The shadow of your wings;
My heart rejoices as I’m led, My tongue awakes and sings.

I trust in My Redeemer's name
I trust in my Redeemer's name
He bore the wrath meant for me
I stand faultless, without blame
I trust in my Redeemer's name

My eyes and my desire and needs Are ever to my Lord;
I love his promises to plead, And rest upon his word.
He won't despise my feeble dust Nor put my hope to shame,
For I have placed my only trust In my Redeemer's name.

I trust in My Redeemer's name
I trust in my Redeemer's name
He arose to make us holy
To seek and save He came
I trust in my Redeemer's name
