To live is Christ, to die is gain
This is the truth, pure and plain
He died for us, so we who live
Might fully live the life He gives
If we save our life we’ll lose it
If we lose our life we’ll find it
If it’s lost for Jesus’ sake
A new life He will surely make.
He is no fool who pays the cost
To gain what cannot e’re be lost
The perfect pearl of matchless price
The treasure of new life is Christ
To be ready to endure
What will truly make us pure
Let us surrender to God’ will
Then our life will be fulfilled
Not in self preservation
Will we show our salvation
But in self sacrifice
To take up our cross and follow Christ
