Face to Face

Face to face with Christ my Savior,
Face to face—mine eyes shall see
When with rapture I behold Him,
Jesus Christ who died for me.

Face to face I shall behold Him,
With greater vision I will see
Face to face in all His glory,
To gaze on his grace eternally.

If I seek Him I will know Him
Even on this earthly plain
For the Spirit clearly shows Him
And the glory of His name

Seek His face with open eyes now
In His presence we’re undone
Face to face in His shekina
Face to face with God’s own Son.

Only faintly now I see Him
With the darkened veil between,
But a blessed day is coming
When His glory shall be seen.

What rejoicing in His presence,
When are banished grief and pain;
When the crooked ways are straightened
And the dark things shall be plain.

Face to face--oh, blissful moment!
Face to face--to see and know;
Face to face with my Redeemer,
Jesus Christ who loves me so.
