Soul’s Delight

The world holds no  fascination anymore

Since I have discovered something far far more

There are no earthly pleasures that compare

To the pleasure of your presence- I want to abide there

You are my peace my confidence my rest

Even if this world gave me its best

It would be a fleeting vapor fading fast

When my Jesus breaks the shadows they cannot last

You are my Soul’s delight

There is no greater treasure

So on you I set my sight

The beauties of you glory without measure

Oh Jesus there is no greater treasure.

There is no contentment, there is no lasting gain

No wealth that can persist when a life is lived in vain

I have a better treasure a pearl of priceless worth

And the power to purse it is from beyond this earth

You are my Soul’s delight

There is no greater treasure

So on you I set my sight

The beauties of you glory without measure

Oh Jesus there is no greater treasure.

Let others love the world With all its vanity;

I love the Lord, my God— What is the world to me?

Let others love the world With all its vanity;

I love the Lord, my God— What is the world to me?
