Providence

If holiness is my desire

I can expect trials by fire

There will sure come a test

If I would seek righteousness

If I long for holiness

If I hope for blessedness

Sure, the devil will attack

But I must never then turn back

For whatever  my Lord requires

He will provide a way

And each days’s provision

Is sufficient for that day

What I need He will supply

Though I may wonder how or why

He is able to provide

And on my sojourn He will guide

So I will trust in what he gave

For He is able to now to save

Unto the uttermost

In His promise I will boast

Though Satan would disburse distress

I will trust God’s faithfulness

He will perfect what He began

Though I cannot he surely can

For whatever  my Lord requires

He will provide a way

And each days’s provision

Is sufficient for that day
