Our nourishment, our source of
strength
Is found within God’s Word
For there the height and depth and
length
Of all we need is heard
The statues of the Lord are right,
Rejoicing the heart:
The commandment of the Lord is
pure,
Enlightening the eyes.
More to be desired are they than
gold.
Yes, than much fine gold:
Sweeter also than the honey
Of the honeycomb
Bridge:
Moreover by them
Is Thy servant warned:
And in keeping of them there is
Great reward.
The fear of the Lord is clean,
Enduring forever;
The judgments of the Lord are true
And righteous altogether.
More to be desired are they than
gold.

And without this we have no gauge
Our own lives to maintain
For God is found within each page
His Word our life sustains
