Now faith is like a mustard seed
It grows strong when it’s brought low
And it goes without knowing
Into what is growing
Whether the harvest comes fast or slow
Like a tiny mustard seed
Faith’s spark can be so small
When the flame grows higher
Can grow into a great fire
So a tiny spark is more than none at all
Like that seed, Christ came a tiny thing
A thing of no repute or fame
Insignificant in this world’s eye
The things of earth would pass him by
Without a home Without a name
But angels were host to his lowly birth
And again at his ignoble death
Buried like a mustard seed
From the veil of earth was freed
To rise with mighty resurrection breath
Like a tiny mustard seed
Faith’s spark can be so small
When the flame grows higher
Can grow into a great fire
So a tiny spark is more than none at all
