Two thousand years ago he came-And yet he lingers still
He came to be Emmanuel-To do the fathers will
And now our God is with us-Now our God draws near
So who can stand against us-We have no need to fear
A son is born unto us-To us is given a Son
Son of God and Son of Man-He is the Holy One
He came to destroy the Devil’s works-He came to conquer death
To give life to all would believe-He came to bear sins wrath
He shows God’s face and speaks God’s Word-To those who see and hear
He comes Messiah Lord and King--He came to draw us near
