Trembling Joy

Rescued from the precipice

Saved from the raging tide

Wrath and fury on its way

Save me, Lord, I cried!

Delivered from the wrath to come

As fire was in the cup

To pour out on disobedient sons

His anger fills it up

So it is a trembling joy

To know that I am saved

I am rescued from the deluge

To tread the path Christ paved

Oh, the glorious gift of repentance

That woke me from my sleep

Saves me from the holy wrath of God

And now with joy, I weep

The smoke of this torment

Goes up forever more

When He treads out the wine press

Then flows the blood and gore

O the terror and the pain

Reserved for the arrogant

Those who would reject God’s Love

And refuse to repent

So it is a trembling joy

To know that I am saved

I am rescued from the deluge

To tread the path Christ paved

So it is a trembling joy

To know that I am saved

I am rescued from the deluge

To tread the path Christ paved
