Second Adam

 

A babe was born in a desolate time

Christ Jesus came the lost to find

And so this changes everything 

All things are new for light he brings

Because of His birth hope has no bounds

Light comes the darkness to confound

From virgin birth to David’s throne

Salvation is found in Christ alone

Born is the Adam of our redemption

The Second Adam, without sin

Pure from His birth to His ascension

There is abundant life in Him

Because of His birth, death has no sting

Of His resurrection angels sing

Christ came to die that we might live

So with abundant joy, our praise we give

Because of His birth, we find our rest

In Him, we find the end of our quest

And by Him, we are satisfied

In eternal life we now abide

Born is the Adam of our redemption
