Jesus we long for Your return
For You were born to set us free.
For a new advent, now we yearn
Maranatha is our plea!
Put away our sins and fears
Console our hearts, renew our minds-
Then You’ll wipe away our tears
And true rest in You we’ll find.
For our salvation, You were born,
For our redemption, You have died;
You will bless the soul that mourns
In You, we are purified.
Come now and forever reign!
By Your Spirit sanctified,
All our losses will be gain.
Come and take us to Your side.
Come and bring Your kingdom, Lord!
Come and consummate Your plan!
Your people cry in one accord
Worthy, worthy is the Lamb!
Till that day, You’ll intercede
So we trust in You alone.
You will meet our deepest need
Till You raise us to Your heavenly throne.
