Trouble may be our holy calling
But God will keep us from falling
If tribulation brings us pain
God‘s promises shall still attain
In disappointment or distress
In desolation, God will bless
Yoke fellows in his suffering
Death to self is our offering
In Tribulation’s blessed day
The promises shall make a way
Rest in your faith and forsake doubt
Not looking inward or without.
We dare not waste the suffering
But to our Savior we must cling
He will preserve us through the trial
For he is with us all the while.
Tribulations trials and trouble
Burn away, wood head, and stubble
When tribulation we endure
The fiery trials will make us pure
