After writing over 2100 psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs
in my lifetime, I have decided to try revisiting some of the great hymnwriters
whose songs I sang in my youth, and work from them as inspiration for a project
I have begun as summer approaches. I am presently working through a massive
body of work by Isaac Watts, the great hymnwriter and poet of the early
eighteenth century known as the “Godfather of English Hymnody”. You can watch

I fully acknowledge inclusion of thoughts, phrases and even
stanzas of Watts included in these derivations. Along the way I will continue
to post my own original works as well while composing new melodies to these as well.
