Glad in the Glories of God

Lord make your glory manifest

Inhabit your people’s praise

As your mighty name we confess

The Rugged Tender Path

We are walking on the road less travelled 

We may stumble and fall on our sojourn 

Though the lack of signs may leave us baffled

We press on to that goal for which we yearn

We are called now to go without knowing

On a journey to a place out of sight

There’s a cross to take up while we’re going

But though we bear it the burden is light

For the rough rugged way has its reason

But we’re promised we’ll not walk it alone

Tender mercies shall come in due season

While the rugged tender path leads us home

There are brambles and briars on the pathway

For it is trodden by a relative few

But be sure you will never go astray

If you will follow the guide given you

For the course you are called to is God-paved

And the dangers, toils and snares were designed

To draw you to cling to that guide God gave

For there God’s mercy and grace you will find

The Blood of Jesus Covers Me

The blood of Jesus covers me

The blood of Jesus purifies

For the blood of Jesus sets us free

The Call (Repent and Believe)

The call goes forth through the ages

The call to repent and believe

To escape from iniquity’ wages

And forgiveness of sin to receive

This is not a suggestion it is a command

And an order that we are to obey

Come to Christ all you weary and take your stand

Find your hope in the truth life and way

There is hope for the hopeless

And sight for the blind

And mercy for the lost to receive

Come and be reconciled-

Forgiveness you’ll find

And power to repent and believe.

Worthy

I am unworthy to touch your garments hem

Unworthy your sandals to untie

An unworthy servant who’s only done what I should do

So Lord have mercy is my cry

I am amazed that though you found me dead in sin

You chose to raise me from that grave

And though I have surely been a prodigal at times

Yet you still chose to seek and save

In faith and repentance lead me on

Then all my losses become gain

I will walk worthy if I’m following the Son

For worthy is the Lamb who was slain!

Help me live a life that’s worthy of my calling

Zeitgeist

There’s no compromise

And there’s no recompense

When civility dies

If the righteous relents

Conversations are quelled

And peace falls apart

Just as Satan rebelled

Now he’s entered hard hearts

When wrong is deemed right

And right is deemed wrong

Men are ready to fight

When the hatred grows strong

False realities

Never will be enough 

We’re to love enemies

Speaking God’s Truth with Love

If it’s denied and ignored-Then death is the wage

When evil’s outpoured-In the spirit of the age

The lie will attain 

While the nations rage

And the infidels reign

In the spirit of the age

But delusions can’t stand

In the Light of the Word

Illusions are banned

When the Gospel is heard

For we shall overcome

By the power of God’s might

When the day is done

And all is made right

For the judge of the earth

Awaits in the wings

He shall show his worth

The Spirit’s sword sings.
