Without Love

Without Love there is no true holiness

Without Love there is no real peace

Without Love there is no true hopefulness

Without Love there’s no release

But with Love propitiation 

Becomes reality

Love sources our salvation

And God’s Love will set us free

All of these are truly acts of Love

But the Lover of our souls

Will only ever be enough-

To Love Jesus is the holy goal

Without Love we won’t be justified

And true joy cannot be known

Without Love we can’t be sanctified

Love’s end is found in Christ alone

Without Love there is no unity 

Where no compassion reigns

Without Love there is just tyranny

And no grace lest Love attains

All of these are truly acts of Love

But the Lover of our souls

Will only ever be enough-

To Love Jesus is the holy goal
