The Call (Repent and Believe)

The call goes forth through the ages

The call to repent and believe

To escape from iniquity’ wages

And forgiveness of sin to receive

This is not a suggestion it is a command

And an order that we are to obey

Come to Christ all you weary and take your stand

Find your hope in the truth life and way

There is hope for the hopeless

And sight for the blind

And mercy for the lost to receive

Come and be reconciled-

Forgiveness you’ll find

And power to repent and believe.

For it is in confession that sinners are cleansed

Then forgiveness and faith shall attain

Heed the call to arise and new life begins

In repentance see righteousness reign
