As violence overtakes the silent shadow
We wait in wonder and in woe
Unsure what the future holds
Once the fires burn cold
There’s no other shelter left where we can go.
For in our days there will be tribulation
And there is no excuse or justification
Trouble seems to reign at every turn
And watch as both law and order burn
We stand in grief o’er our broken nation
Another life is taken far too soon
The piper is playing a dire and doleful tune
The dirge is sounding low
We don’t know what we don’t know
But we do know we are not immune
My heart is downcast for this devastation
My heart is groaning now for this situation
When hatred turns to violence
We cannot remain in silence
There is only one hope for our salvation
Upon Charlie Kirk’s assassination
