Greater Grace

I was a young man, Now I’m old man

God’s grace surely bound me-All along my lifespan

For then I was young-But now I am old

And the songs that I’ve sung-Have grown ever more bold

For there is a grace in growing old

When there’s a fire in my heart I won’t grow cold

For though I’m turning gray

The prayers I can pray

Yield a harvest more precious than gold

But I was not me, It is not me

I have not tasted of glory in vain

For all the good that I’ve done I now see

Because of greater grace I’m what I can be

A crown of glory for your hair

Belies a greater grace beyond compare

I need you more than ever

But naught of earth can sever

The Love of God in Christ in my that I’ll forever bear

But I was not me, It is not me

I have not tasted of glory in vain

For all the good that I’ve done I now see

Because of greater grace I’m what I can be

Because of greater grace I’m what I can be
