Rock of Refuge (I will Abide)

In this fallen world, broken and bereft

You still hide my soul within the rocky cleft

There in the Rock of Refuge-In this dry and thirsty land

You cover me by the cleft of your nail scarred hand

Beneath the cover of your sheltering wings

Hidden there in silence my soul surely sings

So in the presence of that shelter I will hide

In that safe security I will abide

I will abide though I still sojourn in this place

For since you dwell in my heart it beats with grace

And even in tribulation I’ll feel your sweet embrace

So I’ll reside with you until I see your Face

Bridge

So abide in my Lord as I obey

And I will never be alone

As I live in You , You become the Way

You are my surety as I stand before your throne

Where I will come to know where I am known

I will abide though I still sojourn in this place

For since you dwell in my heart it beats with grace

And even in tribulation I’ll feel your sweet embrace

So I’ll reside with you until I see your Face

Yes, I’ll abide in you until I see your Face.
