I am hungry, I am thirsty
Yet not for anything this world can give
I am hungry, I am thirsty
For the righteousness only God can give
He placed eternity in our minds
Our vision cannot see
But what God has done we cannot find
It’s beyond our ability
You have formed us, you have made us
Yet an inconsolable yearning remains
You have formed us, You have made us
I am rich yet weary so I search in vain
The living waters I will not forsake
Dust off the ashes in my hands
And broken cisterns I’ll not make
For on the Rock I’ll make my stand
I am hungry, I am thirsty
So I will eat the bread that truly satisfies
I am hungry, I am thirsty
So I will drink of the well that never runs dry
It’s for another world that I was made
A world of righteousness and peace
An inheritance that never fades
A place of rest and of release
I am hungry, I am thirsty
So I will eat the bread that truly satisfies
I am hungry, I am thirsty
So I will drink of the well that never runs dry
