Clean Before Our Lord

What a marvelous mystery

Inconceivable but true

We can now stand boldly at the throne

At the mighty mercy seat

We who are born anew

Stand clean and without blemish at our home

Clean before our Lord

Clean before our Lord

Clean before our Lord we stand

Clean before our Lord

Clean before our Lord

Clean before our Lord we stand

Once we were like a filthy rag

In our own righteousness

But by the blood of Jesus we are clean

Whiter than the silent snow

Awash in holiness

Purified and blood bought and redeemed

Clean before our Lord

Clean before our Lord

Clean before our Lord we stand

Clean before our Lord

Clean before our Lord

Clean before our Lord we stand

Washed clean by the blood of the lamb

A royal  priesthood- now we stand

Here by declaration we are just

It is by faith and not by sight we trust

Standing boldly at the throne if grace

We rejoice and tremble in that place

Beholding glory we have never seen

We come to understand what  mercy means

Clean before our Lord

Clean before our Lord

Clean before our Lord we stand

Clean before our Lord

Clean before our Lord

Clean before our Lord we stand

The Everlasting Arms

Just as a child goes to their father,

For comfort and for strength,

So we go to the God of All Comfort

And we tarry there at length

As We lean upon His arms,

And feel His loving embrace.

In the everlasting arms we trust

There we are in the grip of grace

We shall not be afraid of evil news

God is our bulwark and sure defense

On Christ our heart is firmly fixed

In the Lord we shall be confident

The arms of our God hold us fast

In His embrace we  are safe from harm

Secure and safe His promise ever lasts

Leaning on His everlasting arms.

Fear not for God is with us

Be not dismayed in our God we stand

He will strengthen us and help us

And uphold us with his righteous right hand

For the Lord He is our refuge

He is Our shelter and our tower

Safe within the everlasting arms

We are shielded by His power

Prepare Our Hearts

We too often lose our way

You alone are our sovereign stay

Purify our hearts and bless

Us with your perfect holiness

Prepare our hearts for holiness

Sift our souls with righteousness

In consecration set us apart

Write your Word upon our hearts

Be holy is your command

So clean before you we may stand

Oh author of our faith complete

And perfect it at your Mercy Seat.

If our sin we would confess

You’ll cleanse all our unholiness

For your forgiveness now we pray

So make each day a holy day.

Prepare our hearts for holiness

Sift our souls with righteousness

In consecration set us apart

Write your Word upon our hearts

In consecration set us apart

Write your Word upon our hearts

Live for the Eternal

Everything you can see will die

All you have will rot bye and bye

Every title you can earn will be

Lost for all  eternity.

Every glory you receive from men

Will turn to nothing in the end

Every gain you have will soon be gone

Lost like stubble and chaff e’re long

Live for the eternal

Live for the one who died

The one who gave his life your you

The blessed crucified

Every sacrifice you make

If done in faith for Jesus sake

Will see hundredfold recompense

In this you may have confidence

Bridge

He died for all that those who live

Should for self no longer live

Unto themselves, but unto him

Who for their sake died and rose again

Eternal life to give

So, Live for the eternal

Live for the one who died

The one who gave his life for you

The blessed crucified

Live for the eternal

Live for the one who died

The one who gave his life for you

The blessed crucified

Holy Bones

Lord be our guide through the unknown

Set us apart in consecration

Sift our souls and rattle our bones

To tremble at your great salvation

These bones they are surely dry

But you will make them live

They heed Your call and will arise

To flee the tomb when new life you give

Holy hearts and holy bones

Holy flesh and holy souls

All we are and all we’ve known

Be sanctified by your holy coals

Oh Holy Spirit take control!

Baptize us with your Holy Spirit

And by your Holy Holy Fire

Fan your flame as we draw near it

Till you are our one desire

Touch our lips that are unclean

Pure before you we would stand

Purify our thoughts that are unseen

For holiness is your command

Holy hearts and holy bones

Holy flesh and holy souls

All we are and all we’ve known

Be sanctified by your holy coals

Oh Holy Spirit take control!

Oh Holy Spirit take control!¬¬

So Many Songs

If the hope that we have of paradise

Is just a big mansion where we can dwell

And strutting our crowns before everyone’s eyes

A heaven without Jesus would be Hell

Or it would be just like a hall of mirrors

Where our infinite face we would see

A circus filled with narcissistic leerers

Consumed by self eternally

There are so many songs about heaven

Lord, that never even mention your name

I can’t even begin to imagine

Without you it wouldn’t be the same

For a heaven without my dear Jesus

Wouldn’t be a heaven at all

If it only existed to please us

It would be a prep for another Fall.

A kingdom without a king will not last

Our first thought of it should focus on Christ

To dwell in his courts when this world is passed

Without him it would never suffice

There are so many songs about heaven

Lord, that never even mention your name

If its about streets of Gold it’s a given

Without Jesus it would just be a game

If its just about the things that would please us

A reunion of family and friends we recall

Then a heaven without my dear Jesus

Wouldn’t be a heaven at all

No, a heaven without my dear Jesus

Wouldn’t be a heaven at all
