The Blood of Christ

Age after age it exists-See the problem remain
It ever persists- this big ugly stain

The conscience arises our hearts to condemn

Destroys the disguises worn by profane men

Our hearts are defiled We shoulder the blame

This prodigal child still carries his  shame

When will you learn that time takes its toll?

Where will you turn to harbor your soul?

The blood of Christ, The precious blood of Christ

This is the only place in life to turn for release

The blood of Christ, cleansing blood of Christ

The only place in death to turn to find real peace

Our conscience bears witness of our alien state

No merit no fitness to help us to rate

There is only one cleansing that will purify

There is only one ending that will satisfy

No matter the time no matter the age

No matter the crime, no matter the rage

The dark and defiled in judgment they’ll pay

To be reconciled, there is only one way

Purify my conscience,  Purify my soul

I would serve the living God so come take control

The blood of Christ, The precious blood of Christ

This is the only place in life to turn for release

The blood of Christ, cleansing blood of Christ

The only place in death to turn to find real peace

In the Splendor of Holiness

Oh sing to the Lord a new song;

Sing to the Lord, all the earth!

Sing to the Lord, bless his name;

Tell of his salvation tell of His worth

Say among the nations, “The Lord reigns!

Yes, the world it shall never be moved;

He will judge the peoples with equity.”

His righteousness He then shall prove

Come sing to the Lord and bless His name

Come tremble before Him in holy fear

Come and magnify His majesty

In the splendor of holiness come and draw near

Ascribe to the Lord, All of ye peoples,

He who determines History’s length

Ascribe all the glory due his name;

Ascribe to the Lord glory and strength!

Tremble before the Lord, for He comes,

He will judge the world in righteousness,

Yes soon  He comes to judge the earth.

And the peoples in his faithfulness.

Come sing to the Lord and bless His name

Come tremble before Him in holy fear

Come and magnify His majesty

In the splendor of holiness come and draw near

Magnify His Majesty

Oh magnify the majesty of the Lord

Oh let us exalt His name together

For He is great and rightfully adored

We shall praise the Great I Am  forever

Now this is our first and our foremost task

To magnify  and tell of God’s great Name

With all that is in me all that I ask

Is forever in his house to remain

I will praise the name of God with a song;

With thanksgiving I’ll magnify His name

All honor and power to Him belong

His greatness and His goodness I’ll proclaim

Oh declare to all- His excellencies

His lovingkindness is beyond measure

Now we may apprehend His great glories

This is the great gift, the greatest treasure

I will magnify the Lord In my soul

Who is exalted as head over all

All things are under His sov’reign control

We worship Him as on our knees we fall

Bridge

The name of the Lord is a strong tower

Yours are the majesty and the splendor

The Kingdom dominion and power

You are our rock and shield, our defender

I will praise the name of God with a song;

With thanksgiving I’ll magnify His name

All honor and power to Him belong

His greatness and His goodness I’ll proclaim

In the Wilderness

The wilderness is wearisome, the wilderness is wild

Choices and the landscape there are stark

Delivered from distraction, and all that has beguiled

We hear the voice of verity there present in the  dark

In the wilderness we apprehend the truth of what we need

And we come to reckon what at last is required

For wandering in the wilderness we don’t know where it leads

But it clarifies our dreams and our desires

You call us to the wilderness and sanctify that place

Where all our plans and schemes are stripped away

There we have nothing but the thorns and your sufficient grace

For in the wilderness your providence becomes the way

We come to realize what you save us from and save us to

And we find that in the nothingness all we really need is you

In the wilderness  there are no trails that we can navigate

Unless we discern to look above and set our eye

Where morningstar  and rising sun our directions indicate

And we shall see the unseen way  the wilderness supplies

In the wilderness we’re tested in the wilderness we’re tried

To a place of judgment and  humiliation  we’re called

A place refuge from the world  where we can escape to hide

And the shelter that  we so desire is revealed  once and for all

You call us to the wilderness and sanctify that place

Where all our plans and schemes are stripped away

There we have nothing but the thorns and your sufficient grace

For in the wilderness your providence becomes the way

We come to realize what you save us from and save us to

And we find that in the nothingness all we really need is you

Thanksgiving Day

Anthony Foster

Thanksgiving Song

Lord help us remember our blessings

Lord help us discern your great grace

Lord remind us of your many timely mercies

And our hearts will be filled with your praise

Lord help us remember  who we are

Help us discern the depths of what is true

We are thankful that you have revealed

The truth the life the way is found in You

We give thanks to You oh Lord

For your perfect providence

And in gratitude your blessings we proclaim

We give thanks to you oh Lord

Not just for what you provide

But for the blessed glories of your Name

Bridge

We are thankful beyond what we can express

We are so grateful you have revealed who You are

We can only boast in knowing You this we shall confess

That  to understand you is the greatest gift by far

We give thanks to You oh Lord

For your perfect providence

And in gratitude your blessings we proclaim

We give thanks to you Oh Lord

Not just for what you provide

But for the blessed glories of your Name

We Will Stand

Consuming fire attends the Lord’s appearing

When the Judge  burns away the sin and dross

Melted in the cauldron  of the Refiner

In the crucible of the One who bore the cross…

Only those who have been granted access

By faith into the Gospel of God’s grace

They will stand in the hope of that great glory

In the armor of His Spirit, face to face

So let us stand in the grace of our Redeemer

By the power of the Gospel we received

We will stand on the promise of our Savior

The true grace of God that we believed!

Who can endure the Day of the Christ’s coming?

The great day of God’s wrath is coming fast

Then the worthy Lamb will sit in judgment

And  the books will be opened there at last…

Who can withstand the day of His coming?

For the day of Judgment now is at close hand

He cleanses with the fuller’s soap, and the roaring fire

But in the refuge of our Jesus we will stand!

So let us stand in the grace of our Redeemer

By the power of the Gospel we received

We will stand on the promise of our Savior

The true grace of God that we believed!

So let us stand in the grace of our Redeemer

We are upheld by His righteous right hand

By the true grace of God that we believed,

So by the power of the Gospel we will stand!
