Advent

Lo He comes

Comes to search and rescue

To seek and save, release you

Comes to give the blind a vision

Lo He comes.

Jesus who delivers us

From the wrath to come

From the grave He has arisen

Just look what God has done!

God is sending and pursuing

Christ is continually rescuing

Daughters and Sons

Till Hs Kingdom comes

As the Father has sent the Son

Sent Him down from Heaven above

So now He sends us out

To shed abroad His love.

So we go,

And as we are sent

We are His continual advent

Invading new souls

Christmas Awakening

Stir me up, remind me

Wake me from my sleep

Continue to awaken me

For I slumber long and deep.

Though great things we have known

We degrade them, to our harm

Instead to dullness we are prone

Halfhearted and lukewarm.

So feel the wonder of the truth

The greatness of its weight

We have no need for something new

So the old freshly relate.

Reminders and stirrings will

Cause us to feel some measure

Of the joy this Christmas can instill

Great joy shall be our treasure

So may indestructible joy

Dawn now upon our day

With God the object of our joy

It can’t be tak’n away.

And so this Christmas heed the Word

May the Spirit op’n our eyes

So our affections now are stirred

To see afresh the glorious Christ

Draw Near

Now may the God of peace who brought again

Our Lord Jesus From the dead

The great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant,

equip you with everything good that you may do his will,

working in us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ,

 to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.

 Hebrews 13:20-21

Keep on drawing near to God

Forever and ever.

He works in us this very thing

Forever and ever.

He is doing this through Jesus

Who has purchased for us this grace

Through His death and so He prays

And asks the Father and He hears

So that He might draw us near

Eternal saving work

Of our High Priest alone

Makes it so we can draw near

And stand at Grace’s throne

He intercedes on our behalf

He who saves us from sure wrath

He prays our faith should never fail

With confidence we will prevail/

So in confession and in prayer

Draw near  in trust and praise

He will never cast you out

For to the uttermost He saves.

Fullness (Grace Upon Grace)

From His fullness we have all received Grace upon Grace upon Grace.

Grace and truth have now conceived Grace upon Grace upon Grace.

The Word made flesh Dwelt among us

The Word made freshWe have seen the glorious

Glory as of the only Son Glory as of the only One

Glory from the Father We know there is No Other

Oh the fullness of Christ Jesus To feel His fullness overflow

To have His truth now seize us To feel true wonder and to know

From His fullness we have all received Grace upon Grace upon Grace.

Grace and truth have now conceived Grace upon Grace upon Grace.

Glorious fullness from before creation Fullness of grace in every way blessed

Delivered to us in a blessed sensation Rooted in the Truth that we confess.

So this illumination savor now Rock solid reality its end

Fullness of deity dwelling bodily Fullness of love to comprehend

to comprehend with all the saints  what is the length and breadth

to comprehend with all the saints what is and height and depth,

To know the mighty love of Christ  that knowledge now exceeds

that the glory of the only Son  from the Father would proceed

into your heart to shine, to give your soul and mind the grace

See the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in Jesus’ face.

That Christ can be so real to you, that you would be amazed

To be filled to overflowing  With the fullness of His praise

From His fullness we have all received Grace upon Grace upon Grace.

Grace and truth have now conceived Grace upon Grace upon Grace.
