Tracks of TIme

Time is like a freight train that is rollin’ down the track

It knows its destination and its never turnin’ back

It runs a trail to glory, running till the journeys done

It won’t slow down for nobody-no not even one

It pulled out of the station on the day that you were born

Your time will grind you under if you don’t heed its horn

Sit back enjoy the journey cause you know that it wont last

You’re there before you know it cause this train is moving fast

Get aboard the gospel rail moving down the line

Rollin on that gospel trail on the tracks of time

You never know what’s coming up around the bend

Till you pull into the station and reach the journey’s end

As you’re passing every marker it will stay in memory

The junctions and the stations take you to eternity

So set your mind on Jesus cause he’s charted out the way

He is this trains conductor from these tracks he’ll never stray

Rollin like a river this train will not be delayed

It takes you home to safety so you need not be afraid

With Jesus at its throttle he’s  in charge as engineer

He laid the tracks and charts its course so you need never fear

Get aboard the gospel rail moving down the line

A Thousand Amens

I will praise you with an upright heart

When I learn your righteous rules 

From your precepts I will not depart

I will flee the way of fools

From worthless things I will turn my eyes

And I will confess my sins

Your testimonies make me wise

As I offer up a thousand amens

A thousand amens I will voice

A thousand amens as I rejoice

We have heard  The more sure word

Lord help me understand

It shall forever stand

Walking into Love

Start the journey, travel on

Up around the bend there’s another song

Don’t you mind the detours, son

With four rights you can’t go wrong

So turn, turn and you might return

This cycle you cannot resist

Changing key  to ones unlearned

Like a holy circle of fifths

So start the journey take the first steps

One foot in front of the other is enough

For all the rights you gave up others you have kept

On this sojourn the destination’s up above

Just keep walking, you’ll be walking into love

Keep on keeping on is what they say

Don’t look back, and don’t hesitate

You might find that there is no better way

Cause this road is narrow but it’s straight

So start the journey take the first steps

Holiness

Forgiveness is what you gave  When I repented

You saved me from the grave Then I relented

Now beyond forgiveness I would move

Work holiness in me now to prove

The work you’ve done in me

To set this captive free

Set me apart Lord Purify my heart Lord

As holiness I pursue Make me more and more like You

If in Christ Jesus I have died In Him I will be sanctified…

When the Bottom Drops Out

There are many dangers ahead-that we all know

Many toils and snares here below

The storm of desire casts us all about

But where do you go when the bottom drops out?

You make all your plans and you build up your walls

Life in the bubble isn’t real life at all

The road you are running has no alternate route

So where do you go when the bottom drops out?

You look up through the bottom and there you will see

A hope that is sure and a grace that is free

But the hunger still burns and you’re drowning in doubt

Route

Sinkiller Kill My Sin

My deeds that are dark

I wouldn’t want to be seen

In the light of the day

I think you know what I mean

The mind is a battleground

But this is the truth I’ve found

It really is insane to not come clean

Cause what looked like pleasure

The pleasure it gave

Was no sort of treasure

It seeks to enslave 

If I will just reckon 

The reality

That when it beckons

I can turn and flee

Sinkiller, kill my sin

This is a battle that I can’t win

But you have overcome the world

And what’s impossible for me

You will put my sin to death

And give the victory

Everyone of us falls short

Of God’s glory each day

If we stand in this world’s court
