We Have Seen the Glory

We have seen the glory 

Of God’s one and only Son

For Jesus is the true light 

Who gives light to every one

Every one who will receive him 

Then shall call upon His name

It is only through our Jesus 

That  Grace and God's truth came

What has light to do with darkness?

The rising son dispels the night

Christ has called us out of darkness

Now into His marvelous light

For the glory ever beckons

To embrace the good and true. 

Dead to sin this we must reckon

And begin to live anew

Now from glory unto glory

We are all to be transformed 

By the power of the Spirit

As we gaze upon the Lord

We behold with an unveiled face

His Shekina pure and bright

As we stand by sovereign grace

And we walk within His light

In Him was life and that life 

Is the light of men

The light shines in the darkness 

And it cannot comprehend 

He shines his light and as He shines 

He sheds his love abroad

So each soul He calls from darkness 

Shall become a child of God.
