| The Reckoning |
Soon the day will come, that day for which we long
The soon and coming return of our King
Bringing judgment against all that’s wrong
But to His own, great blessing He will bring
When that day of reckoning comes upon us
We shall know that Sin no longer holds its sway
When He comes, He fulfills all our trust
And His name shall be hallowed in that day
In that day there’ll be no more sorrow
In that day there’ll be no more pain
Soon that day will come- maybe tomorrow
When we’ll see all of our losses become gain
Then faith and hope will surely pass away
But holy love will surely remain
For faith becomes sight in that day
In that day we’ll join the celebration
Angel songs give way to songs of the redeemed
Ransomed souls raise their voice in jubilation
And this new reality is more than we dreamed
In that day there’ll be no more sorrow
In that day there’ll be no more pain
