Bend

Take me to where you are that I might apprehend

The glory that is yours alone as on my knees I bend

Transport me to worlds unknown where I might see your face

Laid low,  astounded and amazed as on glory I gaze

Where I am devastated by the wondrous radiant sight

But I am not destroyed by the brilliance of the light

This is my true and best possession- entry to your royal throne

Where I may fall down and worship giving praise to you alone

In this present reality manifest your presence here

Open up my eyes that I may see you and my ears that I might hear

As I bend the knee I am set free for everlasting joy

As I obey you make the way as your power you employ

To clear my mind and cleanse my heart- I am conformed as I confess

I feel the love of heaven above and I am truly blessed

You are amazing!

Lord your love is not just memory you save me hour by hour

Nothing can separate us you uphold me by your power

Now I see in a glass darkly but help me apprehend

The privilege I'm created for as on my knees I bend.

You have made provision for my joy to be complete
Exulting in your glory, in your presence, at your feet

A humble and a contrite heart you will not turn away

In fact you take up residence in the heart that will obey

So manifest yourself to me in Spirit and truth now

Abide with me in this dark place as on my knees I bow.
