When We Pray

We will rise out of sorrow when we pray

We will  live in thanksgiving when we pray

Surely goodness and mercy follow all our days

We shall walk in the light when we pray

We’ll agree with the Father when we pray 

We will defeat the devil when we pray

Surely goodness and mercy follow all our days

We will rest in our Savior when we pray

Unless you bear us up we shall surely fall

Unless you give us wings we have no strength at all

When we pray we shall with eyes of faith’s reality

And our hearts will take flight as the truth sets us free

We will lift adoration when we pray

We shall kneel in confession when we pray

Surely goodness and mercy follow all our days

We will ask for provision when we pray
