The Grace of God

The Grace of God opened my ear

And opened the eyes of my heart

The voice of Christ I joy to hear

For new life it imparts

Yes, new life it imparts

By grace was contrived the way

The rebel soul to save

The plan attained that glorious day

Christ rose up from the grave

Christ rose up from the grave

God calls and makes the dead to live

Heaven’s gate is opened wide

He draws us forth and grace he gives

And by faith we’re justified

By Faith we’re justified

Twas grace that has inscribed my name

On the palm of God’s right hand

Into my darkened heart it came

And brought me to the Lamb

It brought me to the Lamb

Twas Grace that taught my soul to pray

All to God’s grace I owe

’Twas grace which kept me to this day,

And will not let me go.

It will not let me go.

It will not let me go.
