Light a Candle

Light a candle- a candle for love

In its light we all will abide

In this light we are set apart

To love’s pathway it will guide

Light a candle of joy, for joy

Let its light in our hearts overflow

Our spirits lifted up high like the flame

Till our joy burns like an inferno

The light of the world has called us  To become light To this earth

We will not hide our rays  With His glory we will blaze

To show the world His Worth

Light a candle of peace, of peace

As for our  mortal foes  we pray

May we never become our own enemy

But a light for the peacemaker’s way

Light a candle-a candle for justice

Let us bask now in its warm glow

Then may it ignite a fire in our bones

Till as a raging volcano it flows

The light of the world has called us  To become light To this earth

We will not hide our rays  With His glory we will blaze

To show the world His Worth

Light a candle-a candle of mercy

Warm  our hearts with its flame

Enlighten our minds, illumine the shadows

As to compassion we lay claim

Light a candle -a candle of wisdom

Let its light forever shine bright

Shine to dispel the darkness

Shine to give to us insight
