Holy Lamb

Holy lamb, the lamb of God is born

The perfect spotless sacrificial one

Now shepherds guard God’s little lamb

Who came to take the sin of man

One day though dead this lamb will stand

Oh lamb of God, precious lamb of God

Lamb who will pay atonement’s cost

Oh lamb and yet the Shepherd

Come to seek  your sheep that are  lost

Holy lamb You are the Great I AM

He would be the shepherd of us all

Who God had given him before the Fall

One day he will tend his sheep

His own flock he will guard and keep

But now it is time to sleep

Jesus Was His Name

Shepherds guard God’s little lamb

Wise men, gentiles from afar

Came to seek the Morningstar

Angels his advent proclaimed

Jesus was the baby’s name

Jesus was His name

Scholars brought no offering

Herod sought to kill this King

Slaughtered were innocents 

Rachel mourned in deep lament

Angels his advent proclaimed

Jesus was the baby’s name

Jesus was His name

Yahweh is salvation

And He came His own to save

Author of creation

Creates life within the grave

This baby is a wonder

A gift given by grace

Fall on your knees and ponder

God with us in this place.

This baby is a poor child

Who would learn to love and weep

So we can be reconciled

To the shepherd of us sheep

Draw Me to Worship

I revel in awestruck wonder At unimaginable reality

You tear my assumptions asunder Oh Spirit,  stir worship in me

Awaken me to something higher Grant me Inexpressible Joy

Ransack my limited desires Your vistas of glory to enjoy

Open the eyes of my heart  so I can perceive

Undo my unbelief and help me believe

Draw me to worship that is worthy of You

The sacred devotion that you are due

Make me tremble with excitement Enamored at each marvelous thought

In fear and awe of enlightenment To be drawn to worship like I ought

Break forth and fill me with hilarious awe,  Dazzled by your daunting deeds

Let me reckon Who You are rightly As my soul on your glory feeds

Open the eyes of my heart  so I can perceive

Undo my unbelief and help me believe

Draw me to worship that is worthy of You

The sacred devotion that you are due

Astonished at your lovliness Beautiful are you in all your ways

Awash in your bountiful blessedness Your Breathtaking beauty I praise

Thunderstruck, wonderstruck Fantastic and fabulous you are

Lily of the valley and pearl of great price, shine on me bright Morningstar.

Come to the Light this Christmas

The Word became flesh and  in him is life 

And that light is the life of men

The Word shines in darkness with glorious light

That the darkness cannot comprehend

Come to the light oh come to the light

Fall down in wonder at the glorious sight

He calls us from darkness and out of the night

Come to the Light this Christmas.

The forgiver of Sin came among us to live

And now his glory we have seen

He is all of glory, grace and truth he gives

He shows us what truth really means

Those On Whom God's Favor Rests

God’s favor was for ages sought

Undeserved, could not be bought

Darkness has consumed this place

But God had plans to shed His grace

On this sin besotten race

Those on whom God’s favor rests

Are among men the truly blessed

No work of man could e’re suffice

T’was no sufficient sacrifice

Could the holy wrath of God appease

Sinners could never a holy God please

No healing for Sin’s black disease

Those on whom God’s favor rests

Are among men the truly blessed

Peace can only flow from Grace

And flow is does from Heaven’s throne

Until we see Christ face to face

His peace makes us His very own

The Dwelling Place

You came to find no dwelling place

Made of wood or stone

You came to build a house of grace

That You would call Your home

Come dwell in us, in us abide

Live in our hearts while in You we hide

Come and stay and sup with us

You prepare a feast here in the dust

You are our dwelling place and we are yours

Oh living vine your life endures

You are in the Father and we are in You

This is the hope of the chosen few.

We are the holy habitat

Where your Spirit dwells

We are the tabernacle that

You Spirit comes and fills

Your Word is written on our heart 

And by Your Spirit is sealed

The mystery of Christ in us

Has come to be revealed

You make us vessels of mere clay

Where your glorious treasure is put on display

Christ in us, in this we trust

Be born in us we pray! Be born in us today!

Advents

Angel armies shout the news

They filled the skies one night

And shepherds wondered at the view

That burst upon their sight

Fear not! Oh shepherds, Christ is born

Witness to what you see

Revelation has the darkness torn

And changed their destiny

And they came with haste

Left their flocks within the fold

To the babe they raced

They obeyed what they were told

And so they came to worship

To the stable stalls they came

On their knees they now adore Him

Then they went out to proclaim

There will be a second advent

To the mountain Christ returns

He will come back in the way he went

In the clouds, for this we yearn

You will see the angel armies

You will hear the trumpet sound

As He comes in radiant glory

To those who in Him are found.

Angel armies will come with Him

And they’ll gather every man

To come before the throne of judgment

There to fall or there to stand

There will be no condemnation

For all those found in Christ

For they have their testimony

Of the blood of His sacrifice.

So come with haste to the table

Of the risen stricken lamb

The incarnate light is able

To redeem the soul of man

And so now come to worship

Come and His peace proclaim

On your knees come to adore Him

Come and glorify His name!
