Christ has called us out of the darkness
Call us into His marvelous light
From days defined by fear and starkness
To abundant overflowing life
We rejoice in joyous jubilation
And with gladness we’ll revel in delight
We will shout out sounds of exultation
And we’ll sing our songs in the night
For He gives us joy everlasting
And He gives us blessed peace and rest
All our cares and troubles we are casting
On the grace of God that we confess.
In His everlasting joy we are blessed.
There is a joy that is inexpressibly deep
In our soul’s salvation it’s begun
In the night though we may mourn and weep
When morning dawns then joy returns
As we ponder on His wondrous mystery
We will fall down on our knees in praise
He has delivered us out of futile misery
That our joy may be full for all our days
For He gives us joy everlasting
And He gives us blessed peace and rest
All our cares and troubles we are casting
On the grace of God that we confess.
In His everlasting joy we are blessed.
