This is the time of the signs

Look at the signs of the times

The time for consummation is due

When the true is called false and the false is called true

These are the times we were created for

Times of wars and rumors of war

Of famines and plagues and Earthquakes 

And every power of heaven shakes

I waken to new mercies each morning

Oak of Righteousness

Bread of heaven feed me

Oh Good Shepherd lead me

On this rocky road to holiness.

Spirit of God show me

What it takes to grow me

Into a mighty oak of righteousness.

Draw my roots into your holy ground

There where glory may be found

Or graft me into the living vine

I would dwell deep in the divine.

Angel armies lend me

A true map that will send me

Into the clefts of Yahweh’s holy hill

There where glory dwells

And Christ His story tells

And draws me to the center of His will

Smiling Moon

As dusk descends upon your mind

Eclipsing all you’ve left behind

And your soul sings a doleful tune

You’ll seek after a smiling moon.

If you stop to listen  in the dark

There sings the mellow meadowlark

So don’t stop listening too soon

In the shadows of a smiling moon

For there reflected glory shines

On greater wonders, better signs

Resplendent in the claire de lune

We shall become that smiling moon

For in the shadowlands of night

When darkness would obscure one’s sight

There holiness and grace commune

A-glowing as a smiling moon.

The light reflected from the sun

Can show your way when day is done

Though not clearly as it was at noon

Under the care of a smiling moon

For there reflected glory shines

On greater wonders, better signs

Resplendent in the claire de lune

Enlightened by the smiling moon

Give Us a New View of You

So many trials to be endured

No one truly understands

Our vision is obscured

Here in  the shadowlands

But You shed abroad your light

And give the blind men sight

All we perceive and all we believe

Is revealed by your marvelous light

Give us a new view of you

Make our vision clear and true

Open the eyes of our heart

As insight you impart

Lord give us. Give us a new view of You

The mirror is so dark

But with eyes of faith we see

The outlook is so stark

This is not the end of the story

You reveal to us your glorious Light

You are the beacon in this dark night

Open our eyes  till we realize

By your grace we will fight the good fight

Pass through the shadows and walk in the Light

We’re children of promise

As your people, you go before us

In this wilderness where we roam

Seat us in  your heavenly place

You lift us up by your good grace

You Work for Those Who Wait for You (Isaiah 64:4)

God’s eyes run to and fro

Throughout the earth –He aims

To give strong support to those

Whose hearts are without blame.

You work for those who wait for you

For you are faithful You are true

You are worthy of our adoration

You have become our firm foundation

You are not limited by our limitations

So in You alone we trust

You are for us not against us… 

From of old no one has heard 

Or perceived by the ear- one so Great

No eye has seen a God besides you,

who works for those who for him wait 

Do it Lord Jesus

We cannot succeed

But only If we trust in you

You will meet our need

For when our desires depart

You will satisfy our souls

You form in us a perfect heart

Not in part but the whole

You work for those who wait for you

For you are faithful You are true

You are worthy of our adoration
