Bearing good news, to the captives He came
He has come the broken hearts to bind
And freedom to the
prisoner to proclaim
He has opened up the prisons
Of the ones who were bound in the night
To declare the time of God’s favor
And God’s vengeance in power and might
He came to comfort those who mourn
And beauty for ashes to to give
To exchange the oil of gladness
For the sadness in which we live.
And so put on the garment of praise
And the spirit of heaviness fain
He has planted you as Oaks of Righteousness
So you may glorify His great name
So you Oaks of Righteousness arise
In your garments of
praise now rejoice
With your heads anointed with gladness
Proclaim the Lord's year with One Voice.
And so put on the garment of praise
And the spirit of heaviness fain
He has planted you as Oaks of Righteousness
So you may glorify His great name
So you Oaks of Righteousness arise
In your garments of
praise now rejoice
With your heads anointed with gladness
Proclaim the Lord's year with One Voice.
