Set Your Mind on Jesus

A mind is a terrible thing to waste

It was made for glory and made for grace

It was made to ponder and made to praise

It was made to transcend this sphere

 

A mind is to reckon reality right

The mind is a mirror that can be filled with light

It can make sense of mysteries beyond our sight

It can master the heart of fear

 

If you set your mind on Jesus

And settle on what is on high

Set your mind on Jesus

As the apple of your eye.

We were slaves of our days but He frees us

When we set our minds on Jesus

 

Now set your mind on things above

This world will never be enough

Think on the beauty and power of love

And with it to heaven draw near

 

The good and the beautiful and the true

Were made for your mind, they were made for you

Set your mind on the things where honor is due

For your treasure is what you hold dear

 

Set your mind on Jesus

And settle on what is on high

Set your mind on Jesus
