Lord raise in me a deep cherishing
Things of the gospel of Your good grace
Of the great and holy, central things
Treasures that take the highest place
The holiness of our Great God,
The utter ugliness of sin,
The hopeless helplessness of man,
And the deep depravity we`re in.
These are the truths that we would learn
The glories we embrace
So we`ll pursue our prime concern
Treasures that take the highest place
The all-sufficient death of Christ,
That justifies by faith alone,
The sanctifying work of the Spirit,
The one sacrifice that atones
The glory of Christ’s return,
And the final judgment day
The inheritance for which we yearn
In Your presence e`er to stay!
These are the truths that we would learn
The glories we embrace
So we`ll pursue our prime concern
Treasures that take the highest place
