Long Lament (I Ache Therefore I Am)

So much suffering, pain and misery

Anguish and affliction trouble and agony

So much torment  So much grief

From this trauma I  need relief

I ache therefore I am

I shall cast my burdens on the Great I Am

I will not waste  my suffering

If in It I am found in Thee.

So Lord, let the world see

Your grace, amazing grace in me

Bridge

Numbness and heartache

Overcome with heartbreak

Humiliation- and frustration

Lord hear me in my distress

Remorseful  in my helplessness

To praise you in this darkness

Will bring to me your light

Help me fight, give me Grace

Till my fight will become sight

Lord I have no power without you

In my self there is nothing I can do

I ache therefore I am

I cast my burdens on the Great I Am
