Restless Raging Glory

The joy of fellowship with God surpasses every joy,
A restless raging glory with which we tend to toy
Delighting in the beauty of the Lord shall be our treasure
He invites us into holiness, and unmitigated pleasure

We are far too easily pleased, our ambitions, far too weak
We deny and we dishonor God when poor desires we seek
So delight in His sweet fellowship, revel in righteousness
Till his restless raging glory is the refuge where we rest.

So take delight in our Great God, take joy in our King
Take pleasure in His presence and break silence as we sing
Lift up a hymn of praise to God, exult in His great name
We recognize His purpose and our pleasure are the same.

This is what our life is for, our great purpose we employ
We live  to glorify the Lord, and in Him to seek our joy
Enraptured by His beauty,  meaner things to revile
Enthralled by grace and goodness, and to relish in His smile

The Lord your God is in your midst, the mighty one will save;
Rejoicing over you with joy; He will quiet you by his love;
He will exult in gladness over you singing loud with all His Might
And His restless raging glory will become our true delight

So take delight in our Great God, take joy in our King
Take pleasure in His presence and break silence as we sing
Lift up a hymn of praise to God, exult in His great name
We recognize His purpose and our pleasure are the same.
