We remember as we
take this wine and bread
We partake of
righteous truths and our souls are fed
At this table where
together we have come
We are overwhelmed
as we recall all that you've done
We won't forget the
darkness where we walked
How you broke the
yoke , and our chains unlocked
We remember the
glory when we saw your great light
And how on that day
you made us right.
As we eat and as we
drink our hearts will dine
On the righteous
fruit of the living vine
And as of the staff
of life we partake
We honor your offer
as the bread we break.
We remember for our
good and for Your sake.
We will never forget
how you were born
And how you became
an object of scorn
We recall the dread details of your death
How you bore our sin
and breathed your dying breath
We remember how you
did as you promised
How by death our
gift of life was accomplished
How on the third day
you arose though for us you died
And were raised in
glory so we could be justified.
As we eat and as we
drink our hearts will dine
On the righteous
fruit of the living vine
And as of the staff
of life we partake
We honor your offer
as the bread we break.
We remember for our
good and for Your sake.
We will remember
your final sacrifice
We realize just what
it cost to pay the price
We we will confess
and repent and give praise
As we worship here
at the table of grace
Here as your people
together in union
We're one with
Christ in this perfect communion
We examine our
hearts here at your table
And proclaim that
the Lord who is for us is able
As we eat and as we
drink our hearts will dine
On the righteous
fruit of the living vine
And as of the staff
of life we partake
We honor your offer
as the bread we break.
We remember for our
good and for Your sake.
