Purge Me

With hyssop I would be purged - I want to be clean

Let the living water surge-Reveal the unseen

The secrets of my soul, the sin, The barriers I erect

The demons I invited in, You have moved me to reject

Purge me and wash me

Whiter than snow I want to be

Break these chains and set me free

Lord purify the sin in me

If it takes refiners fire

Then that is what I most desire

I want to do what you require

So purge me.

Cleanse my soul today, Set my mind on purity

Evict all unclean thoughts I pray- And be my one security

As you baptize all of me I rise up to walk in light

Pure and simple I would be Righteous in your holy sight

Purge me and wash me

Mercy me in your great love Make my forgiveness sure
