Wonderful Counselor

We need  wisdom for hearts that can’t pray

We need a guide to show us the way

Someone to listen someone to care

Someone who will always be there

We need a Counselor anytime anyplace

Full of wonder full of truth and grace

Someone in whom we can confide 

To console and comfort  and guide

Advise and correct us, show us the way

Give the grace to receive Your counsel we pray.

Help us discern between truth and lies

Wonderful Counselor you are good and wise

The truth in love is what we need to hear

Call us to faith and will cast out our fear

Faithful are the wounds of such a friend 

Sort out our chaos and help us to mend.

Reprove and rebuke us where we need to change

Encourage our hearts as you throw off our chains

Lead us beside soothing waters so still

Restoring our souls  as you reveal Father’s will.

Advise and correct us, show us the way

Give the grace to receive Your counsel we pray.

Help us discern between truth and lies

Wonderful Counselor you are good and wise
